Curators  statement: 7th Annual Summer All-Media Juried Exhibit, Upstream Gallery People

"Mindy Z. Colton delightfully and yet dramatically portrays equine artistry. "Close Encounter" shows a horse confronting an aroused bird creature. Another bronze work "Soul Companion" develops the horse with the exagerated elegant legs again with a small creature looking up. And going from more petite sizes, she uses aluminum to masterfully sculpt "Wind Dancer" which glistens in the sun reflecting the rich polished surface - a true work of art with a delightful presence."

Curator, Profesor of Art,  Larry Bradshaw, Univsersity of Nebraska, Omaha
